Born in Alaska, raised in Colorado, Kentucky, Washington, and Oregon, Kat Olvera is a Portland-based writer with a passion for storytelling, poetry, history, and the paranormal. Kat has an affinity for writing about the darker parts of life, though she does so through a lens of hope. Her work often channels the grief and trauma she's experienced in her own life, but almost always with light and growth woven in between the lines.
